(3) Hello. My name is Ken. Have you ever heard of overseas volunteers from Japan? Two years ago, in 2001, I listened to a story from a woman who was an overseas volunteer in a country in Africa. She said, “Last year I went to a country in Africa and worked with the people there. I lived in their homes, ate their food, and learned their language. I showed them how to grow more rice and vegetables.” I was impressed by her story and still remember it well.
My dream is to be an overseas volunteer. I want to have interesting experiences in my life. It will be really meaningful for me to help a lot of people. I know I will have to get the special skills that I need. It may not be easy, but I will study very hard to realize my dream.
